Week 15 Part B: What we Learn from FaceBook Analytics
I've been hiding my business page until I have something good and business related to post about- and thus have maybe 10 followers. That said, I'll be blogging about the brewery analytics- which is more fun anyway!
From April 8th-May 5th there have been 5 actions on the page, which is up 67%! That's good news for public venues, still recovering from the lock downs. That means 5 people engaged with links or posts made on the page!
The page has been viewed 336 times. That would be great for me, but its a decline of 72% for Aztec. I think that's mainly because there would have been a surge for the November 21st "Fula Bula Fest" event. Numbers after a big event are comparatively lower.
There are 15 new page likes, which is down by 40%, but still, its growth! I think 15 is a solid number for retention. If you have a sudden burst of likes, often they are just liking an event or a promotion, and won't be active followers.
There was a post reach of 6,323, which is up by 28%, so users are actively engaging with posts made!
Post engagement is up 34% at 821 users, though videos are down by 85% with only 53 users. This seems to show people want quick bites of info rather than watching a video.
I get the reverse on Instagram. If I post a pic no one does much but like, if I post a video or have a long drawn out caption, people comment.
Followers matches likes with 15 users, down bt 40%. It seems that people who like the page care enough to follow it as well.
The posts that do bet tend to be about upcoming events, as shown here:
Of course, posts that have been up longer, have more opportunity to garner attention. There are a number of charts and graphs, which give a good idea of how this page is perceived over time but I think the most interesting are the demographic breakdowns.
This gives an idea of just who is engaging with your posts, and can give an idea of how you might shape upcoming events to appeal to them.
Knowing more people view from a mobile device, rather than a laptop helps direct the format of posts for the future.
The times when your followers are on helps dictate when post will get the best response. Posts stay up and can be seen later but may potentially get lost in the feed.
Seems like these tools could be potentially helpful for a business looking to make its mark.
