Week 13 PartB: Developing Online Advertising
I mostly use instagram and repost through other sites, so these are all Instasquares.
Most of the ads I've seen lately are for online degrees. I hope this spoof ad will get people's attention, and make them curious. It's a risk, because the minute people get online, they revert to black and white thinking and take things very literally. There will definitely be people angry that this isn't an actual college course, and I find that funny.
I've decided to just lean into my misanthropic side. Its a beautiful unique trait that makes me, me! I can't pretend to be everyone's pal anymore, it's killing me.
My target audience are people who appreciate satire, its what we're all about.
We do feature new music and I can't stop you from boozing up when you listen, so its valid.
The target audience are people who find that John Waters, b-movie style aesthetic appealing.
This is relevant to the plot line of our season in development. Its the most simplistic, and on paper, would probably been considered to be the best choice.
However, if you aren't interested in the plot, or the pictures, you wont click.
The target audience is comic book and sci-fi weirdos in their 40's, who were teens in the 90s and now leach off their parents to the point of elder abuse. These folks are currently living in a perpetual adolescence, enabled by said parents, who keep slapping the snooze button on their grown kiddo's adulthood.
They are horny for anything nostalgic, that reminds them of better days. I want to appeal to these perpetual juveniles while they still have access to their boomer parent's fortunes.
